Graduated from Voronezh State University, Faculty of Biology and Soil Sciences with specialty in «Biology, Genetics and Plant Breeding» (1973), PhD studies at I. V. Michurin Central Genetic Laboratory (at the present time – I. V. Michurin All Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding of Fruit Plants, Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Michurinsk) (1977). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Genetics and Selection (1979), Associate Professor for the Department of Genetics, Cytology and Bioengineering, Faculty of Biology and Soil Sciences, Voronezh State University, Head for the Laboratory of Genetics at All-Russian Research Institute of Forest Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology. Specialist in the field of forest biotechnology and cytogenetics. Member of the interdepatmental scientific-coordination council of the «Center on Forest Biotechnology», Coordinator of the Expert Group on the «Clonal Micropropagation». Author and co-author of more than 150 scientific papers.
