Ünal Sabri, born 7 August, 1967. Graduated from Istanbul University, Forestry Faculty, with a specialty in Forestry (1988). MSc. in Forest Economy (1990), PhD in Forest Entomology and Forest Protection (1998). Worked as Research Assistant for 6 years at Istanbul University. Then worked 3 years as Chief for Kastamonu Regional Directorate of Forestry (1996). Assistant Professor, Dr. at Forestry Faculty of Gazi University (2000), Head of Forest Engineering Department, Faculty of Forestry in Gazi University, in the city of Ankara, Turkey (2001). Associate Prof., Dr., Head of Forest Engineering Department, Faculty of Forestry in Kastamonu University (2007-2010). Professor in Forest Entomology and Forest Protection, Head of Forest Engineering Department, Faculty of Forestry, Kastamonu University, in the city of Kastamonu, Turkey (since 2011 to present). Organized and coordinated several international meetings such as: «International Forest Fire Conference in Black Sea Region», Kastamonu, Turkey, 2014. Author and co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications.
