Ostrikova Marina Yakovlevna, born 3 June 1976 in the city of Kokchetav (at the present time – Kokshetau), Kazakhstan. Graduated from Francis Skorina Gomel State University, Faculty of Biology, Department of Botany and Plant Physiology, with a specialty in «Biology» (1998), PhD studies in the Institute of Forest the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2004-2008). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in «Forest Plantations, Selection and Seed Growing» (2012). PhD thesis: «Molecular-Genetic Features of the Root-Rot Fungus Strains and their Identification in Forest Stands». Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Genetics and Biotechnology at the Institute of Forest the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The main research interests in soil microbiology, phytopathology, molecular genetics. Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications.
