Prokhorenko Nina Borisovna, born 28 April, 1969 in the city of Kazan, Republic of TatarstanSoviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Kazan State University (at the present time – Kazan Federal University), Faculty of Biology and Soil Science (at the present time – Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology), Department of Botany (at the present time – Department of Botany and Plant Physiology), with a specialty in Biology, in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia (1991). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Botany (1999). PhD thesis: «Rastitelnyi Pokrov Poluostrova Muraveva-Amurskogo» (Plant Cover of Murav’ev-Amurskii Peninsula), Vladivostok, 1999 (in Russian). Associate Professor (2007) for the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology, Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, Kazan Federal University in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. Specialist in Forest Geobotany. Author and co-author of more than 60 scientific publications, including 2 books. Some of them: «Regionalnye Ekologicheskie Shkaly dlya Lesnoi Rastitelnosti Dalnego Vostoka» (Regional Ecological Scales for Forest Vegetation of the Far East), Vladivostok, Dalnauka Publ. House, 2003 (in Russian with English title and summary); «Nauchnye Osnovy Sokhraneniya Bioraznoobraziyz Dalnego Vostoka Rossii» (Scientific Basis for Conservation of Biodiversity of the Russian Far East), Vladivostok, Dalnauka Publ.
