Seredina Valentina Petrovna, born 02 March 1945, in the village of Alandino, Bakcharsky District, Tomsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Tomsk State University named after V. V. Kuybyshev (at the present time – National Research Tomsk State University), Faculty of Biology and Soils (at the present time – Institute of Biology, Ecology, Soil Science, Agriculture and Forestry (Institute of Biology)), with a specialty in Soil Science and Agrochemistry, qualification Soil Scientist-Agrochemist, in the city of Tomsk, Tomsk Oblast, Soviet Union (1969). Candidate (PhD, 1981), and Doctor (DSc, 2004) of Biological Sciences in Soil Science, Professor for the Department of Soil Science and Soil Ecology (2008). PhD thesis: «Kaliy v Avtomorfnykh Pochvakh na Lessovidnykh Suglinkakh» (Potassium in Automorphic Soils on Loess-Like Loams), Novosibirsk, Inst. Soil Sci. and Agrochem. Sib. Br. USSR Acad. Sci. (at the present time – Inst. Soil Sci. and Agrochem., Sib. Br. Rus. Acad. Sci.), 1981 (in Russian). DSc thesis: «Kaliynoe Sostoyanie Pochv i Faktory ego Opredelyayushchie (na Primere Pochv Zapadno-Sibirskoy Ravniny)» (Potassium Status of Soils and Factors Determining it (Using the Example of Soils of the West Siberian Plain)),Tomsk, Nat.
