Shashkin Alexander Vladimirovich
Shashkin Alexander Vladimirovich, born 09 July 1948 in the city of Omsk, Omsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) Faculty of Physics with a specialty in "Biophysics" (1970) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University). Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD) in Biophysics (1984). PhD thesis: «Тeoreticheskii Analiz Struktury i Chislennosti Populyascii Eritroscitov Krovi» (Theoretical Analysis of Structure and Numbers of Blood Erythrocyte Populations), Krasnoyarsk, 1984 (in Russian). Head for the Laboratory of Tree Ring Structure at V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch. PI and Co-PI for a numerous national and international research projects, supported by grants of the: RFBR, FTP, SB RAS, KTSF. Research interests in modeling ecological systems. Author and co-author of more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
