Shaulo Dmitriy Nikolaevich, born 7 November 1954 in the village of Konstantinovo, Polotsk District, Vitebsk Oblast, Republic of Belarus (former Soviet Union). Graduated from V. P. Astafiev Krasnoyasrsk State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Biology and Geography (at the present time – Faculty of Biology, Geography and Chemistry), with a specialty in Biology and Geography, qualification Teacher of Biology and Geography, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia) (1977), PhD studies in Botany at the Central Siberian Botanical Garden, USSR Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch (at the present time – Central Sib. Bot. Garden, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br.), in the city of Novosibirsk, Soviet Union (1979-1982). Candidate of Biological Sciences in Botany (1983), Senior Research Scientist (1993). PhD thesis: «Flora Kurtushibinskogo Khrebta (Zapadny Sayan)» (Flora of the Kurtushibinskiy Range (Western Sayan)), Novosibirsk, Central Sib. Bot. Garden, USSR Acad. Sci., Sib. Br. 1983 (in Russian). Leading Research Scientist, Head for the Laboratory of Herbarium at the Central Sib. Bot. Garden, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., in the city of Novosibirsk, Russia (2001-present). Scientific interests in plant systematics, flora, botanical geography, protection of rare and endangered plant species. Honored Scientist of the Republic of Tuva. Author and co-author of more than 150 scientific publications.
