Graduated from the Ural Forest Engineering Institute (at the present time – Ural State Forest Engineering University), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Institute of Forest and Nature Management), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Sverdlovsk (4 Sept., 1991 the city of Sverdlovsk regained its historical name Yekaterinburg), Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (1990). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) Forest Science, Silviculture; Forest Fires and Fire Fighting (1994). PhD thesis: «Elementy Biologicheskoy Produktivnosti Sosnyakov Srednego Urala» (Elements of Biological Productivity of Pine Forests of the Middle Urals), Yekaterinburg, Ural St. For. Engineer.
