Shiryaeva Natal’ya Vladlenovna, born 25 October 1948, in the city of Ustyuzhna, Ustyuzhensky District, Vologda Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Leningrad Agricultural Institute (at the present time – St. Petersburg St. Agr. Univ.), Faculty of Plant Protection (at the present time – Faculty of Agricultural Technologies, Soil Science, and Ecology), Department of Plant Protection and Quarantine, with a specialty in Agronomy and Plant Protection, qualification Agronomist and Plant Protection Specialist (Diploma with Honors, 1970), PhD studies in Plant Protection at the same Department (1973-1976), in the city of Leningrad (06 Sept., 1991 Leningrad renaimed to Saint Petersburg), Soviet Union. Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Phytopathology and Plant Protection (1976). PhD thesis: «Glavneyshie Sosushchie Vrediteli Kormovykh Zlakovykh Trav i Mery Bor'by s Nimi v Usloviyakh Leningradskoy Oblasti» (The Main Sucking Pests of Fodder Cereal Grasses and Measures to Combat them in the Conditions of Leningrad Oblast), Leningrad, Leningrad Agr. Acad. Sci., in the city of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia (2012-present). Scientific interests in protection of park (Sochi dendrological parks «Sochi Arboretum» and «Southern Crops») plant collections and forest stands of protected areas on the Black Sea coast of Russia from pests and diseases, including invasive ones. Author and co-author of more than 200 scientific publications, including 9 books, and numerous practical recommendations for industry.
