Sovanchandara Heng, born 3 April, 1990 in the village of Nhor, Kandaol Dom Commune, Chbar Mon Municipality, Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. Undergraduate studies in Environmental Science at Royal University of Phnom Penh, Faculty of Science, Department of Environmental Science, with BSc in Environmental Science, in the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia (2011). MSc studies in Forest Economics and Management at Beijing Forestry University, School of Economics and Management, with MSc in Forest Economics and Management, in the city of Beijing, Haidian District, China (2013). PhD studies in Forest Science at Kyoto University, Faculty of Agriculture/Graduate School of Agriculture, Division of Forest and Biomaterials Science, Laboratory of Forest Utilization, in the city of Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan (2016-present). Topic of PhD thesis: «Stand reconstruction technique: improving predictions of stand variables in monospecific plantations by including stump information». Research interests in stand reconstruction, tree-ring research and dendroclimatology. First scientific publication in Sibirski Lesnoi Zurnal (Sib. J. For. Sci.): Correction of Stand Variable Estimates Obtained by the Stand Reconstruction Technique: Can Stump Information Improve the Predictions?
