Sukhbaatar Gerelbaatar

Sukhbaatar Gerelbaatar, born 19 December 1969, in the city of Sükhbaatar, Selenge Province, Mongolia. Graduated from the National University of Mongolia, Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Department of Environment and Forest Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (1998). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Silviculture and Forest Crops (2011). PhD thesis: «Formation of Scots pine Pinus sylvestris L. Crops in Northern Mongolia», Nat. Univ. Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, 2011 (in Mongolian). Associate Professor for the Department of Environment and Forest Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, National University of Mongolia, in the city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (2014-present). Research interests in forest crops, reforestation, forest ecology, forest inventory and forest planning. PI and Co-PI for a numerous national and international scientific research projects and grants for the study of forest ecosystems, restoration of degraded forest landscapes and inventory of forest resources. Author and co-author of more than 60 scientific publications, including 3 textbooks.
