Tkachenko Kirill Gavriilovich, born 9 September, 1957 in the city of Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan (former Soviet Union). Graduated from S. M. Kirov Kazakh State University (at the present time – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University), Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology), Department of Botany (at the present time – Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources), with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, in the city of Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan (1979). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Botany (1986), Doctor of Biological Sciences (DSc) in Biological Resources (2014). PhD thesis: «Sravnitel’naya Kharakteristika Nekotorykh Vidov Roda Heracleum L. kak Efirnomaslichnykh Rasteniy» (Comparative Characteristics of Some Species of the Genus Heracleum L. as Essential Oil Plants), Leningrad (06 Sept., 1991 the city of Leningrad renaimed to Saint Petersburg), Bot. Inst. USSR Acad. Sci. (at the present time – Komarov Bot. Inst., Rus. Acad. Sci.), 1986 (in Russian).
