Zagurskaya (Shinkarenko) Yulia Vasil'evna, born 24 July, 1978. Graduated from Kemerovo State University, Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Institute of Biology, Ecology and Natural Resources) (2000), PhD studies in Botany and Plant Physiology at the Laboratory of Phytochemistry, Central Siberian Botanical Garden Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch in the city of Novosibirsk (2003). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Botany and Plant Physiology and Biochemistry (2007). PhD thesis: «Vtorichnye Metabolity Predstavitelei Semeistva Boraginaceae Juss. v Svyazi s Taksonomiei i Biologicheskoi Aktivnost'yu» (Secondary Metabolites Representatives of Boraginaceae Juss. Family in the Connection of Taxonomy and Biological Activity), Novosibirsk, Central Siberian Botanical Garden Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, 2007 (in Russian). Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Introduction of Plants (since 2008) and Laboratory of Environmental Biomonitoring (since 2015) at the Institute of Human Ecology, The Federal Research Center of Coal and Coal Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch in the city of Kemerovo. Expert in Plant Biochemistry, Environmental Plant Physiology, study of medicinal plants. PI for RFBR research projects (2010-2012 N. 10-04-98011). Co-organizer for: «Lekarstvennye Rasteniya: Fundamentalnye i Prikladnye Problemy» (Medicinal Plants: Fundamental and Apllied Problems, 2013, 2015) scientific conferences. Author and co-author of more than 60 papers.
