Dorjsuren Chimidnyam
Dorjsuren Chimidnyam, born 9 May, 1952 in Bayankhongor province, Mongolia. Graduated from Mongolian Agricultural Institute with a specialty in «Forestry» (1974). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD, 1979), and Doctor of Biological Sciences (2006) in Forest Science and Silviculture; Forest Fires and Fire Fighting. PhD thesis: «Vliyanie Antropogennykh Faktorov na Dinamiku Fitotsenozov i Vozobnovlenie Psevdotaezhnykh Listvennichnikov Tsentral'nogo Khangaya v Mongolskoy Narodnoy Respublike» (Influence of Anthropogenic Factors on Dynamics of Phytocoenoses and Regeneration of Pseudotaiga Larch Forests of the Central Khangai in the Mongolian People Republic), Leningrad (06 Sept., 1991 Leningrad renaimed to Saint Petersburg), S. M. Kirov Leningrad For. Engineer. Acad. (at the present time – Saint-Petersburg State Forest Technical University), 1979. DSc. Academician of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (2014), PI, CoPI and advisor for more than 15 international research projects and grants on studying forest successions, biological productivity and sustainable use of the Mongolian forests. Expert in forest science, forestry, ecology and modeling of forest ecosystems. Member of the editorial board of peer-reviewed scientific journal «Sibirskij Lesnoj Zurnal» (Siberian Journal of Forest Science). Author and co-author of more than 120 papers and 12 books.
