Shlotgauer Svetlana Dmitrievna, born November 14, 1941, in the village of Boguslavets, Krasnoarmeysky District, Primorsky Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Komsomolsk-on-Amur Pedagogical Institute (at the present time – Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy), Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Krai, Russia. Candidate (PhD, 1970) and Doctor (DSc, 1990) of Biological Sciences, Professor (1998) in Botany. PhD thesis: «Rastitelnost' i Flora Komsomolskogo Zapovednika» (Vegetation and Flora of Komsomolsk Nature Reserve), Novosibirsk, United Dissertation Council on Biol. Sci., Sib. Br., USSR Acad. Sci. (at the present time – Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br.), 1970 (in Russian). DSc thesis: «Rastitel'nost' i Flora Vysokogoriy Zapadnogo Priokhot'ya i Severnogo Priamur'ya» (Vegetation and Flora of Highlands of the Western Priokhotye and the Northern Priamurye), Novosibirsk, Central Sib. PI and Co-PI for a numerous international and national research projects, including: «Monitoring of ”Gassinskiy” Model Forest Ecosystems», studies of flora at specially protected territories in Khabarovsk Krai, in particular in the the Dzhugdzhurskiy and Botchinskiy state nature reserves. Contributed to developing an integrated scale system to assess the state of rare and endangered plant species in the Far East region, organized the publication and edited «Krasnaya Kniga Khabarovskogo Kraya (Rasteniya, Griby i Zhivotnye)» (Red Book of the Khabarovsky Krai. Rare and Endangered Plant and Animal Species), Khabarovsk, 2008 (in Russian with English abstract) and is the chief editor of its three editions. Reviewer for scientific journal «Vestnik Severo-Vostochnogo Nauchnogo Scentra DVO RAN» (Bull. North-East Res. Centre Far East Br. Rus. Acad. Sci.), Associate editor for peer-reviewed scientific journal Sibirskij Lesnoj Zurnal (Sib. J. For. Sci.). Author and co-author of more than 300 publications, including 9 books and 4 text books and guides.
