Chimitdorzhiev Tumen Namzhilovich, born 9 January, 1969. Graduated from Tomsk State University (at the present time – National Research Tomsk State University), Faculty of Radiophysics, with a specialty in Radiophysics (1994). Candidate of Physiscal and Mathematical Sciences (PhD) in Radiophysics (1998), Doctor of Technical Sciences in Instruments and Methods for Control of Natural Environments, Substances, Materials, and Items (2008), Professor of the Rus. Acad. Sci. (2015). PhD thesis: «Razrabotka Metodik Kosmicheskogo Distantsionnogo Issledovaniya Regionalnykh Ekosistem na Primere Zony Chernobylskoi AES» (Development of Methods for Space Remote Sensing Study of Regional Ecosystems on the Example of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station Zone), Moscow, Kote’lnikov Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics, Rus. Acad. Sci., 1998 (in Russian). Specialist in optical and microwave methods of remote sensing diagnostics of natural environments. Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications, including 38 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 5 textbooks, and 5 invention certificates.
