Grodnitskaya Irina Dmitrievna, born 9 March, 1959 in the town of SalairGuryevsky DistrictKemerovo OblastSoviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University), Faculty of Biology and Chemistry, with a specialty in Biology and qualification Biologist, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (1983). Candidate (PhD, 1996), Associate Professor (2005), Doctor of Biological Sciences (2013) in Ecology (Biology). Center Krasnoyarsk Sci. Center, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br. Participant of more than 70 Russian national and International scientific conferences. Cooperates with Russian and foreign (Kazakhstan, Germany) researchers. Since 2008 conducts research in permafrost zone of the Northern Siberia under German-Russian Agreement (AVI-IF SB RAS): definition of participation of microorganisms in the greenhouse gases (CH4 and CO2) emission on the Samoilovsky island (delta of Lena river). Participates in the German-Russian CarboPerm project. Author and co-author of more than 120 scientific publications, including more than 40 in peer-reviewed journals.
