Karpechko Anna Yur’evna
Karpechko Anna Yur’evna, born 15 October, 1977, in the city of Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Petrozavodsk State University, Faculty of Forest Engineering (at the present time – Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry (1999). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Science, Silviculture, Forest Fires and Fire Fighting (2006). PhD thesis: «Vliyanie Mekhanizirovannyh Rubok Uhoda na Sostoyanie Kornevoj Sistemy i Prirost Eli v Usloviyah Srednetaezhnoj Podzony Karelii» (Influence of Mechanized Improvement Fellings on the State of Root System and Increment of Spruce in the Conditions of Middle Taiga Subzone of Karelia), Saint-Petersburg, S. M. Kirov Saint-Petersburg For. Tech. Acad. (since 27.05.2011 – Saint-Petersburg State For. Tech. Univ.), 2005 (in Russian). Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Boreal Forest Dynamics and Production, Forest Research Institute, Karelian Research Center, Russian Academy of Sciences, in the city of Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, Russia. Research interests in impact of ecological factors and forestry activities on root mass and forest productivity. Author and co-author of more than 20 scientific publications.
