Kovalev Vyacheslav Alexandrovich, born 25 May 1975, in the city of Khabarovsk Khabarovsk Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Khabarovsk Polytechnic Institute (KPI) (23 March, 2005 KPI has been rearranged to the Pacific National University), Faculty of Forest Engineering (at the present time – Faculty of Nature Management and Environment), with a specialty in Forest Engineering, qualification Engineer in Forest Technology, in the city of Khabarovsk, Khabarovsk Krai, Russia (1998). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Science, Silviculture, Forest Fires and Fire Fighting (2006). PhD thesis: «Lesovodstvennaya Otsenka Lesozagotovok s Primeneniem Agregatnykh Mashin v Gornykh Lesakh Sikhote-Alinya» (Silvicultural Assessment of Logging Operations with the Use of Machines in Mountain Forests of Sikhote-Alin), Ussuriysk, Primorsky St. Acad. Agr., 2006 (in Russian). Director for Khabarovsk Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «All-Russian Center of Plant Quarantine» of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), in the city of Khabarovsk, Khabarovsk Krai, Russia (2021-present). Scientific interests in forestry, development of logging methods in the Sikhote-Alin mountain forests of the Far East. Author and co-author of 10 scientific publicatios.
