Samdan Andrey Mikhailovich, born 20 August 1974, in a rural locality of Teeli, Bay-Tayginsky District, Tuvan Autonom. Sov. Soc. Rep. (since 24 May 1991 – Republic of Tuva), Soviet_Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Tuva State University, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, with a specialty in Biology, qualification Teacher of Biology and Agricultural Labour, in the city of Kyzyl, Republic of Tuva, Russia (1998). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Botany (2007), Associate Professor. PhD thesis: «Flora Alashskogo Plato (Zapadny Sayan)» (Flora of Alash Plateau (Western Sayan)), Ulan-Ude, Banzarov Buryat St. Univ., 2007 (in Russian). Associate Professor for the Department of Biology and Ecology, Supervisor for the Herbarium, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, Tuva State University, in the city of Kyzyl, Republic of Tuva, Russia (2007-present). Research interests in botany, phytocenology, biogeography, study biodiversity of flora and vegetation of Tuva. Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications.
