Farber Sergey Kimovich, born 13 April, 1950 in Kreslavka village, Krasnoturansky District of Krasnoyarsk KraiSoviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from the Order of the Red Banner of Labour Siberian Institute of Technology (SibIT) (in 1997 SibIT renaimed to Siberian State University of Technology (SibSUT), in 2016 SibSUT affiliated to Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology), Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest Inventory (at the present time – Department of Forest Inventory, Forest Planning and Geodesy), with a specialty in Forestry and qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Soviet Union (1976). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Planning and Forest Valuation (1989), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (DSc) in Forest Science and Silviculture, Forest Fires and Fire Fighting (1999). PhD thesis: «Sovershenstvovanie Sposobov Opredeleniya Taksatsionnykh Pokazateley Drevostoev po Aerosnimkam» (Improvement of the Methods of Determining Forest Inventory Parameters of Tree Stands on Aerial Photographs), Krasnoyarsk, Sib. For a creative scientific work of many years in the Russian Academy of Sciences and outstanding contribution to the development of science, awarded by the "Silver Sigma" honorary sign of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2007), Honorary Notes, Diplomas and Letters of the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Government of Krasnoyarsk Territory, Director of V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch. Author and co-author of more than 150 papers, including 16 monographs, more than 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals, proceedings of an international scientific conferences, 3 teaching books, and 1 invention.
