Sannikov Stanislav Nikolaevich, born 22 October, 1929 in the city of Sverdlovsk (04 Sept., 1991 the city of Sverdlovsk renaimed to Yekaterinburg), Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia), deceased 12 September 2020, in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia. Graduated (Diploma with Distinction) from the Ural Institute of Forest Engineering (at the present time – Ural State Forest Engineering University), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Institute of Forest and Nature Management), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Sverdlovsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (1952). Candidate (PhD, 1966) and Doctor (DSc, 1987) of Biological Sciences in Ecology, Professor in Ecology. PhD thesis: "Ekologicheskaya Otsenka Vozobnovleniya Sosny v Pripyshminskikh Borakh-Zelenomoshnikakh" (Ecological Assesment of Pine Regeneration in Pripyshminskiy Green Moss Type Pine Forests), Sverdlovsk, Inst. Author and co-author of more than 300 papers and 7 books.
