Senkov Alexander Olegovich, born 6 June 1972, in the city of Moscow, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Arkhangelsk State University of Technology (at the present time – Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Higher School of Natural Sciences and Technologies), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Arkhangelsk, Russia (2002). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Crops, Selection, Seed Growing (2011). PhD thesis: «Adaptatsiya Seyantsev Sosny Obyknovennoy s Zakrytoy Kornevoy Sistemoy na Sploshnykh Vyrubkakh Sredney Podzony Taygi» (Adaptation of Scots Pine Seedlings with a Closed Root System on Clear-Cuts in the Middle Subzone of the Taiga), Arkhangelsk, Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Fed. Univ., 2011 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Taiga Ecosystems and Biodiversity, Northern Research Institute of Forestry, in the city Arkhangelsk, Russia (2011-present). Scientific interests in reforestation. Author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications.
