Upadyshev Mikhail Tar’evich, born 28 August 1966, in the town of Galich, Kostroma Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated (Diploma with Distinction) from Vologda Dairy Institute (at the present time – Vologda State Dairy Academy named after N. V. Vereshchagin), Faculty of Agronomy (at the present time – Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry), with a specialty in Agronomy, qualification Agronomist, in the city of Vologda, Vologda Oblast, Soviet Union (1987), PhD studies in Plant Protection at the Scientific Research Zonal Institute of Horticulture at Non-Chernozen Strip (NIZISNP; 8 December 1992 renaimed to All-Russian Selection-Technological Institute of Horticulture and Nursery Rus. Acad. Agr. Sci.), with a specialty in Plant Protection, in the city of Moscow, Soviet Union/Russia (1988-1992). Candidate (PhD, 1992), and Doctor (DSc, 2011) of Agricultural Sciences in Plant Protection.
