Ivanovskaya Svetlana Ivanovna, born 24 June 1970 in the village of Bolsuny, Polessky Village Council, Chechersky District, Gomel Region, Republic of Belarus (former Soviet Union). Graduated from the Francis Skorina Gomel State University, Faculty of Biology, with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, in the city of Gomel, Republic of Belarus (1992). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Forest Crops, Selection and Seed Growing (2015). PhD thesis: «Geneticheskie Resursy Sosny Obyknovennoy v Belarusi, ikh Sokhranenie i Ispol'zovanie v Selektsionnom Semenovodstve» (Genetic Resources of Common Pine in Belarus, their Conservation and Use in Selection Seed Growing), Gomel, Inst. For., Nat. Acad. Sci. Belarus, 2015 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Scientific-Research Department of Genetics, Selection and Biotechnology, Institute of Forest, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, in the city of Gomel, Republic of Belarus (1992-present). The main research interests in: population and ecological genetics of woody plants, forest breeding and seed growing. Author and co-author of more than 80 scientific publications.
